From Madrid (Spain), I’m a visual artist and film director, but my practice also includes photography, editing, art direction, scenography and, most important for me, development of the concept, creative direction and scriptwriting. When I work for other people, I like to dive deep into their projects and inner world so that I can truly understand them and create something in tune. The visual element that makes their work shine and elevates it.
Time has taught me that a valuable artistic visual work doesn’t need to be supported by a huge production, but a handmade and intimate process that can create a unique piece, soaked in humanity and imperfections, setting it apart from massive content and AI tricks. What I’ve learnt from public and private institutions, technical knowledge, diverse jobs, experiences and projects, is okay. It is in me like a sediment. I like to tell myself: «Soy un poso».
Now, my approach to each new project begins with innocence, clear brain and eyes, open to the unknown, embracing the naïve and capturing the magical side of life, from concept to aesthetics. This has also led me to become more interested in analogue formats, which magically materialize moving and still images as independent objects that don’t necessarily need to exist on a computer, even though I like mixing both digital and physical worlds.
